No News Is Good News Lyrics
All along, we follow blindly,
Force-fed prime time, printed nightly,
Why would anybody leave the safety of their home?
I wonder why,
I wonder why,
Only disasters flood the headlines,
Other people’s misery,
Are up for the next three hours,
Commercial free.
And I can’t take much more of this,
We’re all so wrapped up, in it,
Nothing will change, but the channels,
So I turn it off.
I see billboards on the horizon,
I can’t imagine what they’ll tell me,
What to wear,
What to drink,
Where to eat,
It’s so easy not to think for yourself anymore,
So naive,
You don’t do anything anymore.
And I can’t take much more of this,
We’re all so wrapped up, in it,
Nothing will change, but the channel,
And no,
I can’t take much more of this,
We’re all so wrapped up, in it,
Nothing will change, but the channel...
We all give in,
We all complain,
We sit and wait,
For things to change,
Worrying,
Worrying.
All along, we follow blindly,
All along, we follow blindly.
And I can’t take much more of this,
We’re all so wrapped up, in it,
Nothing will change, but the channel,
And no,
I can’t take much more of this,
We’re all so wrapped up, in it,
Nothing will change, but the channels,

Good Song got it a few days ago, very catchy
this song is so true...great lyrics...i really get sick reading the newspaper or watching the news and finding out about horrible event...its also true how society takes control of us...we try to prevent things from happening...but it is inevitable that bad news will happen
Haha, did you know that when crime went down by like 30% or some ought the crime shown on TV went up 600%. HAHA. AMERICA WANTS YOU AFRAID. ITS BULL. ALL OF IT.

Of course it's all bull. I don't think America wants you afriad though. It's just about what gets ratings and as sad as it is violence and death gets ratings.
P.S. This song is KICKASS!!

I don't think that's even the main focus of the song. Not directly anyway: I think it's more like Guernica said: It's about how society uses all of our resources to make us do what they want. As JasperAvi says: It's just about what gets the ratings. People get so brainwashed by it thinking it's all real that they begin to follow it like it's the Bible. Excellent song. Definitely one of my favs from the album.
I love this song.
I think its like, well, when I first heard the lyrics, I thought it was like society trying to brainwash and control you and stuff like. They try to make everyone the same.
It's rather obvious what this song is about...
It's nothing to do with the government really, it's just saying how no one thinks for themselves in America.
We're run by the big companies.
This song is about resisting popular culture. We should start thinking for ourselves someday and not let others make our desicions.
