stephen: whats the password? whats the password? error; invalid; system failure. when i get my hands on them.. oh just you wait and you'll see...

"give me one reason to trust you" she said, and i replied
"i can not for i have none" and she cried.
"then give me your trust so that mine can return" she said, and i replied
"i can not for i have none" and i would have cried, but my eyes has dried.
"then share with me a starving need to hold on" she said, and i replied
"i can not for i have none"
"what then? where do we place ourselves?"
"on the funeral pyre to burn." and burn.

lindsay: Reinventing moonlight for model lace. Hands touch faces and lips whisper simple phrases. So faithful, so sincere. Across the room stands a kind man who doesn't know my name, the kind man doesn't know my face. I wasn't plugged in today and I couldn't help thinking that/ that meant something very profound.

    Lyric Correction

Jomosexual is correct; lots of the lyrics are wrong. I own Believe in Patters. The lyrics to track 8 (as listed in the booklet) are as follows:

Reinventing moonlight for model lace. Hands touch faces and lips whispers simple phrases. SO faithful and sincere. Walk into the room, a kind man doesn't know my face. Doesn't know my name, the kind man doesn't know my face. I was alone today. I couldn't help thinking that there's nothing for me in this town. I've got to get out of this town. What's the password? Error. Invalid. System Failure.

When I get my hands on him... oh just you wait and you'll see. (I still remember when you came to this place to live and to learn and to live. I still remember when we sand Hallelujah, can't you spare him some love when he's given so much to you?)

"Give me one reason to trust you again" she said, and I replied "I cannot for I have none." (Can't you share with him some of your precious time?) "Then trust in me so that mine can hold on" she said, and I replied "I cannot for I have none." (Can't you give him some understanding this time?) "Then share with me a starving need to hold on" she said, and I replied "I cannot for I have none." (Can't you give him a chance, just one more time") "What then? Where do we place ourselves?" she said, and I replied "On the funeral pyre to burn." (Alone I am now, alone I shall stay.) With scriptures written on the walls, this house that used to feel like home is now nothing more than a room full of strangers.

I don't really know the whole meaning of this song but it seems llike it's about a failed reltionship in which the man had done something which resulted in the woman leaving him. Now she wants to be with him again but he doesn't think he is worth her time.

its amazing how far music can come.. 24 years after it released and its one of the most heartfelt songs ive heard

Corpse I Fell In Love With
Gadjits, The
He reuses the verse melody from the previous album's "Dirty Little Religion", the topics of the verses are all over the place, and he packs too many words into one line (goes to show...) and too few in another (it's pretty hard to find), and rhymes "Henley Regatta" with "Persona non grata", but gets away with it all as only he could.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
