Song Seven Lyrics
throw the tent in the river. & the typewriter too. the waters are high, the time is nigh, the text will tell the truth: first, last, only.... alone. 49531 583 6713. (new moon: im not saying that im a good person in your eyes. envious moon: im not saying that i feel right in your green light.) you left me a love note in my copy of Kidd. thank you. i love you. youre welcome. im sorry. good bye.

I have no idea what this song is about but it is awesome.
Is it... a phone number? Maybe an out-of-the-country phone number? =/ That's all I can think of 49531 583 6713 meaning.
It's not a phone number. International number codes start with 0; i.e. 0044 for UK, 001/01 (can't remember) for the US.
It actually could be a phone number, but the correct way would be +49531.. its quite bizarre, 49 is the dialling code for germany and 531 the local dialling code for braunschweig(small town in germany) anyway - no idea what this song is about - but its great
An interesting thing that I've noticed is that it doesn't have the #2 in it, but it has every other 1-9. I wonder if that's significant.
this song is a reference to the film, Slacker.
I thought German phone number at first, but just had another thought. Maybe it corresponds to notes in the song, with 1 being the root note and the other numbers being other positions in the scales used. Can't quite tell by hearing and will have to chart out and play the notes to verify, but seems to ascend and descend in tone properly.
Anybody else think this sounds like the final chorus? I took the phone numbers and translated them into the corresponding dial tone. Timing is off of course, but seems to follow the meoldy, which would confirm it to be a phone number, cleverly encoded into the music tones itself.
