I love this song, brilliantly moody. Most songs on the album seem to run on the same theme of loss: "the last of this island". This one is not an exception.
ReActor, the line you mention is a reference to a Hillaire Belloc quotation: "When you have lost your inns drown your empty selves, for you will have lost the last of England."
not the normal vocalist on this song, but take nothing away from this song every bit as good as most of the offerings on the 1st album, maybe the younger brother should sing more of the songs.
'Narrow Moor' presumably refers to the moorland ridge connecting the hills of Maiden Moor and High Spy (to the west of Borrowdale) in Cumbria. (Three of the band come from Cumbria.)
