this is perhaps the most beautiful song in the world. I love 'many days have you lingered around my cabin door' i dont know, but to me, it sounds like a song for those getting over a hard time. it gives strength, i love it.

It's about the lack of ability to adopt yourself to a new environment/community. These people suffer, because they are never accepted, and "their voices are silent". They are willing to socialize, but never act upon these desires. They only want this nightmare to end, it's like every day is a lonely struggle, a crooked trail, an endless highway.
