SOund to me like its written about possibly a man leaving his love and going off to war..... maybe set back in medieval times I dont know... just a guess.... But i LOVE the song
this is a great song.. never really read the lyrics though i have sang this song countless times. but i do believe it is about a man that did do off to war
I think this song is possibly about a musician going on tour who has a feeling that someone else is just waiting for him to leave to make a move, and I also get the impression that the girlfriend is finding this other person a little too charming.
