When I was younger I was living for my mates... we'd go drinking, driving, we were doing stuff all the time together, and it all kind of ended when I met this girl... she took over my life for two years, and without meaning too, I pushed my mates away. A few years later, everything is back to normal, and the girl is out of my life, but this is a song for those mates that I neglected, my best mates.
This was written for Kasper's brother, yes? Apparently they don't get along well and all that. If you haven't already, watch the music video. It will make you cry.

I really love this song! It's so great - like almost every other Kashmir song I know.
Well.. The song was written to the Zitilites album, which was published in 2003 - 4 years after The Good Life. It is known to most Kashmir fans that Kasper Eistrup had some difficulties with writing songs after The Good Life album, and I guess this song is about his difficulties and also about the fact that the band almost was splitten up. But also about how they found eachother again, even though it was difficult -

I know by fact, that this song is a song to Kaspers brother. One of my friends is in family with Eistrup, and he told me it was a song to his brother - just that simpel :D
I was about to get married when I heard this song.
My brother was really sad and upset that I was about to leave him, if you have seen the video you know that I couldn't not relate this song with my situation, about my brother not wanting me to leave him and then go with my gf, I could see what my brother could feel in the lyrics:

So yes I feel sad too whenever I listen it, but couldn't help to listen it over and over again.
