I think this part is about being depressed and no one understanding. usually anxiety and depression lead to sleep loss, and he's tired of having to explain what he's feeling to someone who can't comprehend what he's feeling

he's tired of hearing about how GREAT! life is at this point. he thinks it's all kind of a joke, and he can't see the point of going on. i think it's kind of an existentialist view intended here meaning the only point in living is to continue the existence of the human race and individual lives are pointless.

I think the song is called "If you're bored" because the girl he's telling this shit too doesn't really care so he doesn't want to bother her with his problems unless she has nothing else to do. There's might be a little more to the song that I'm not seeing, or maybe i'm reading too much into it. whatev. amazing song.

omg I let it go the first time, but so far almost every single Bayside song posted by you has something wrong w/ it... it's not "we make our lives seem like there's too much living" it's "we make our lives seem like they're still worth living"...it's not "they go on notices for you, and you only take it in when there's nothing else to do"..it's "that no one notices but you, and you only take an interest when there's nothing else to do" (and it's we not we'll)

Yes, the lyrics are a tad off. And the breaks shown above aren't as they appear in the song. It's quite a shame.. To me, this song is about people who take no initiative to make life worthwhile. They hide themselves from the search for happiness, taking up interest in those things that don't matter one bit. Only when those pointless interests expire, when they are forced to look elsewhere, will they see what they should have been confronting all this time.

this is my favorite bayside song. i relate to it with my ex...
