Just Enough To Love You Lyrics

Push me out from the darkness
To a sky that's colored blue
Somewhere someone's finding happiness
While I'm still here so hung up on you

Nothing is real
And I want you to know
That I'm not alright
Tear open my chest
I'll try not to flinch
I won't make promises
I won't make promises
You taught me that

I'm still losing what's left of my self esteem
And I'm still watching the slow fading of all my daydreams

The hardest things to say are the words that mean the most
So I'll bite my tongue until it bleeds and I doubt you'll even know
The easiest things to fake are feelings to fool someone else
And I've been tricked for so long by you I spent these last few months in my own hell

A failed apology
A day too late but now I see
That all you really want is to see me dangle neck first from a tree
But what would you need me for
You've got friends galore
And all you've ever been to me is a waste of time and nothing more

I hate myself
For loving you like this
I hate myself for hating myself
Just enough to love you
Just enough to love you

It's a song about being led on by a careless person with no remorse. And no real understanding. Sometimes people use others as stepping stones to pass time, and sometimes that is conveyed into a song. " I'm still losing what's left of, my self-esteem. And I'm still watching the slow fading of all my daydreams ". Having a good sense of self-esteem prior to meeting someone like this, and remembering, there are a lot more cruel people than there are good. Still watching the slow fading of all my daydreams, the daydreams are of healthy interactions and romance that's real. It's about being let down by someone, and hating yourself just enough to love them, means you probably didn't love yourself enough to end things with the person sooner.

I think the one line is wrong up there.

It's "You taught me that I'm still losing what's left of My self esteem"

How can you not relate to this on some level? It's a hate vs. love issue that everyone's been through at some point in time.
