It's a song about being led on by a careless person with no remorse. And no real understanding. Sometimes people use others as stepping stones to pass time, and sometimes that is conveyed into a song. " I'm still losing what's left of, my self-esteem. Having a good sense of self-esteem prior to meeting someone like this, and remembering, there are a lot more cruel people than there are good. Still watching the slow fading of all my daydreams, the daydreams are of healthy interactions and romance that's real. It's about being let down by someone, and hating yourself just enough to love them, means you probably didn't love yourself enough to end things with the person sooner.

bayside is probably one of my favorite bands. i can relate to every one of their songs. and this one especially...the first verse explains like my whole love life wiht this one girl...too bad their drummer died

this song was not written by bayside. it was borrowed from a talented songwriter kid whose name i don't know. but if you don't believe me, just ask raneri at the next show you're at. i bet he'd be surprised.
