God Only Knows Lyrics
If you should ever leave me
My life would still go on believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would living do me
God only knows what I'd be without you
I may not always love you
But as long as there are stars above you
You'll never need to doubt it
I'll make you so sure about it
God only knows what I'd be without you
My life would still go on believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would living do me
God only knows what I'd be without you
But as long as there are stars above you
You'll never need to doubt it
I'll make you so sure about it
God only knows what I'd be without you

I really like this cover. Great vocal performance completely transforms the song.
Wow. A lame Beach Boys cover...sorry. A funny comment that he made about their song, 'Dance, Dance, Dance.' He said in the Complete David Bowie, "Dance, Dance, Dance was never the BEach Boys' song. It was mine to begin with." (laughs)
By the way, I figured out why he made that comment. It was because in one of his early bands, they performed it live before the Beach Boys even wrote the damn song.
I kind've like it...although the original is, well....pretty perfect, I love when David turns a song all Bowie - y. note: this song (Beach Boys version) always reminds me of my favorite Christmas movie, Love Actually.
