I agree with solarian...You just have to keep going...oh bollocks! It is a funny song, the comic relief of the Space Oddity album, if you ask me.

I think that this is the comic relief of Space Oddity. I have absolutely no idea what this song means. I think that during the recording of this song, Bowie felt like a fool. Hell, in the beginning and end, you can hear him laughing to death.

I love this song. I think it perfectly captures a young and playful David; joking around in the recording studio. The intro to Andy Warhol from Hunky Dory has much the same feel.

This is David goofing off in the studio during the continuation of the song (Wild Eyed Boy from Freecloud) which was intended to be faded out by that point. But, someone was entertained by it and left it on some versions of the song, and let it exist on its own now and then.
