All these people that think they are more moral and upstanding than you because they say that right all the time are insane to me. People are people so why don't we let them make a mistakes every now and then. The politicians aren't gods and we are not machines, speech should not be policed, it's violence that should be. Unfortunately I live country that have rules just like that.

It's music like this helps you get through these tough times.

Politics.

I agree with ShadeCharade, this song IS about politics (the name says it all!). But I think it's about liars and hypocrites in general, whether its a filthy fuckin politician or a slutty girlfriend lying to your face.

I think this is about politics and capitalism. I mean, look at the title. It's really a fusion about how our corrupt politicians are "sucking corporate d**ks" and laying down for big business to trample all over the little people of the world, just so they can get voted back in or get a piece of the pie.

Don't let the title mislead you, it's sarcasm. Kind of like saying it couldn't be any worse if we were communists.

I think people misunderstand this song. It's not about politics or politicians. It's about the record industry. "I'll grab my pen and write about Kryptonite, so you can feel all right." Direct reference to 3 Doors Down. Not bashing THEM by any means, but basically saying how record labels don't want artists to use their music to talk about anything REAL or potentially controversial. They want you to talk about benign subjects that won't offend or alienate listeners because it's all about money, not art. "Industrialized" "sold out" "sucking corporate d__ks". All referencing how the music industry is just that, a business, not a way of spreading art to people. "We'll always be the same no matter who you are." Label heads and A&R people will change, but Nothingface will not stop sining about what they want.
