One Year From Now Lyrics
One year from now will I be strong
Will I stand up for what I've become
Everything I have I will give you
And everything I own I owe you
One yearr from now dare I call you mine
A year ahead from now it's a different time
Will I stand up for what I've become
And everything I own I owe you
A year ahead from now it's a different time

I disagree with the other commenters.
I belive the song is about a depressed person, a person who never changes, a guy who keeps saying "one year from now" instead of saying "tomorrow". He keeps waiting for changes to happen instead of making them happening.
I think it's about a man in a relationship, and he's wondering if he will still be with the same girl one year from now.
Not only is it about a relationship, but I see it as a long distance one. Two lovers who have been away for a long time, and are anticipating the days until they're together and until they can give everything to each other again. Obviously, one year from now.
This song could be about a couple awaiting a child. The father (or mother for that matter) to become contemplates how life will turn. Having a child is of course one of the greater things that can happen to a couple, however sometimes things doesn't turn out as expected.
If this is the words of a man, a little spin on my theory could be that it's unsure who the father to the child is. Hence the "dare I call you mine". It all could be directed to the child.
I love this song, It's so addicting.
