sounds to me like he was chasing a girl for a while. he finally goes for it and kisses her. He thinks it went well, then things get wierd again.
Interresting how in Dan Potthast version, the guy seems to feel himself guilty and that in Toh Kay version, the guy seems to put the fault on the girl...
@sylbee9485 I feel like I'm the Toh Kay version it's less of him putting any fault on the girl but rather the emotion of the music is that he put his all into this and was completely crushed rather than him putting any fault onto the girl
