No Problem Lyrics

I'd like to think that it's out of fear
When you blow into town maybe twice a year
To check on me - see if I'm still here
And you make me think that it's my idea
When everything in the world is free
I come to you so easily
You've never felt a sense of me
You that I refused to see
You had me but it's over now
You had me but it's over now

It's no problem
It's no problem

I'm not really sure why I let you win
Or even why I let it begin
I've always been an easy in
And easy out the door again
I know it's only because you're down
That you'd ever want to come around
Just a little secret in a little town
You had me but it's over now
You'll get my attention again somehow

It's no problem
It's no problem

I always thought this song was about an ex girlfriend. This whole album is about living in a small town and trying to figure out what to do with your life. Well I believe in this song his ex g/f comes back into town every so often and tries to hook back up with him. He doesn't want her back though because she had him and it's over now. He really cared for her but she hurt him so he can't go back. That's just my opinion though.

I think Stoney's got most of it, but I think there's more to it than that -- just listen to the way Scott sings "it's no problem" near the end of the song. He sounds frustrated, making me think the words he sings are what he wishes were true, but actually aren't. He wants to believe he's over his ex, but he really isn't.

I thought the same the song was just always pretty ans soulful. We are going to see Local H in March so been on a bit LH kick. My husband asked me how I could listen to it cause the song describes my relationship to my dad exactly. I just burst into tears cause it was right and I had never seen it. So maybe it is about his relationship with a parent IDK. All I know is I love the song and now it means even more to me.

This song is powerful. He is being sarcastic, as others have pointed out. It's no problem? No, this hurts him. Whoever this is about, it hurts. Such is life. People leave and people change. It's no problem.
