this song a kick ass song
I thought this song was about how she just wants to play music with her friends and deliver her messages about feminism etc but people keep putting her down hence the 'stake through our hearts' thing. Also the 'Why is it so wrong to be sure' part is about how she doesn't understand why people have a problem with her sticking by her beliefs.

i think this is about them getting ¨famous¨ or whatever and in a band and their friends (maybe cos theyr jealous or something) backstab them or something kind of their friends turning their backs when they started to get busy
Instead of "I'll play the second set and the sense walk out again", I hear "I'll play the second side of the Slits record again".
