It's so soft, to see the glow from the city up ahead
connect my hert to the rhythm it's lead
straight forward and ready 'cause I'm on my way home
it's so good, to be alive in such a hazardous world
to be alive and see the victory unfurled
I'm anxious and waiting 'cause I'm on my way home

yeah, your war is won (3x)
oh my friend you're finally done.

on that day, you'll find ambitions don't lie here anymore
the one you love has gone and settled the score
what more could you ask for now
it's so good, to be alive in such a wonderful year
to be alive and see the end of your fear
with peace in your ear 'cause you're on your way home

yeah, your war is won (3x)
oh my friend you're finally done.

and all this time
we walk the line through pain
and giving in to you
but now its gone
so we'll move on and know
that this is not the end

on that simple night, when we've all lost our sight, you believevd in what i said
from those cursed beginnings to those blessed blessed ends
in between we've found our way to live

yeah, your war is won (3x)
oh my friend you're finally done. (2x)

This song is so beautiful. I didn't get to go to Warped Tour with my boyfriend, so I just sat around all day and listened to this song. The vidjeo is kinda funny, it's like braveheart except with little kids. I can't believe nobody has commented on sucha awesome song.

Such a great song by a great band. I saw them at Warped where they played on like a 5 inch stage with 4 people watching but after awhile gathered a really big following and stole the show from the other bands playing around them. This song is probably the best song off the c.d. besides "Perfect Mess". They remind me of Something Corporate. Both are awesome piano rock bands. This is such a perfect song. Beautiful

This song is absolutely beautiful. I got to see them when they came and played here. At first I was a little skeptical, but then I really got into them. They're an amazing band.

I think of the war in Iraq when i hear this song, and all the people who are able to come back. This song also makes me really sad about how some people never get to come back and everything there doing for us, and how they shouldnt be over there in the first place.

I really like this song though, as it was the first song i heard by melee. Ever since ive been hooked.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
