More good stuff by Jamie. To me this is saying that he just broke up with his girl. They thought they were in love but obviously they weren't. He seems to be looking at the bright side of it and enjoying life now.
This song always makes me thing of springtime. The imagery of the sunshine and renewal just hits me that way. It strikes me as an elegant metaphor for that phase everyone goes through right after a break up when they realize that life goes on, that you can look back on your relationship and smile.

I agree with lily...It's a cute break up song...I just love when he says "maybe that didn't work out...but we did the best we could..." It's so sad, but maybe there can be a way to keep the good from a relationship that went bad. Beautiful touching song, to remember those times that are now gone. :(
yea lily and gabigs are right this song is so sad but it seems like he came to terms with the break up and like he knows it wound't work so it was worth the good times but in the end they didn't add up to enough
