Resolve Lyrics

Time rolls
As days go by
And now I've figured
That I ain't gonna last
Summer skies
Are leaving me behind

So resolve your loving said all
I'll be lost when you're gone
Blind me from keep
Blind me

Time's told
As days go by
I still ponder this old question why
But now I know
There's no time to decide

So resolve your loving said all
I'll be lost when you're gone
Blind me from keep
Blind me

And daylight knows
How my eyes have tired
Like the circles
Life evermore will bear

So resolve your loving said all
I'll be lost when you're gone
Blind me from keep
Blind me

I can't believe nobody's commented on this. What an amazing song. Yet another Beth Gibbons song that hits a nerve so deep I can barely breathe. It's about feeling lost and hopeless after losing someone.

@ElizaDay66 Thank you for your interpretation. I think you are right.

I can imagine how the previous commenter felt, almost seven years ago, finding not a single note of regard concerning this lovely and almost tragedy as ethereal grief and longing expressed, a beautiful melody with Beth's almost hauntingly ambiguous voice and lyrics punctuating its affirmation of acceptance of the reality one must find a way to accept, as while weary and succumbing to that ultimately necessary acceptance, and aware of the pain such awareness is imparting in any case.

"And daylight knows How my eyes have tired Like the circles Life evermore will bear

So resolve your loving said all I'll be lost when you're gone Blind me from keep Blind me"

I am going to straight up admit, I neither understand Beth's lyrics inasmuch as I don't really understand the words she is singing. Her gorgeous voice makes whatever her words may be very poignant, however, more hauntingly pointed than they would be sung by any ordinary singer not sharing her personal interpretation of what she clearly distinctly felt. The ambiguity is the seal authenticating her emotion conveyed, and I hope more people can discover at least this song, or hopefully this album, as I have found myself coming back and enjoying it repeatedly over the years.

The DJ guy in my head usually finds a way to mix it up a little but he left this song pretty much on repeat for days on end a couple months ago, and I was not inclined to be upset with him at all. A gorgeous song.
