this one has a special place in my heart because i DO have an ex that drove a jeep cherokee... and the bastard wrecked it years ago... still hasn't got another car
i think a lot of people do this . they invision their ex when they see the car the person owns and for a second you sware its them or hoping for that run into with them ..
It's a beautiful emoish lost love type of song. I think everyone can relate to knowing an ex-lover by some object, whether it be a car or whatever else.
yeah, its basically about how you see objects or hear songs or watch movies that just instantly make you think of a certain person.

I love the over voice it's like she is seeing it right there and saying it aloud and it mocks her in her head. This is hands down my favorite song. True it is more pop then the rest, but I love the drums in this song.
I love the 80s-ish feel of this song, although it was suprisingly pop after the rest of the album. The meaning is pretty obvious, same as everyone else has said. The way the feel makes it seem like she doesn't want it to be him but does at the same time is clever.
On the lyrics: Love the line gravity_is_not quoted above, and I also thought the Rolling Stones reference was cute -- "I see a red jeep and I want to paint it black" (paraphrases the Stones' "Paint It Black") The only line I don't like is the last, it's just kind of cheesy.
I think it's great how they reference to other bands! I absolutely adore this song... it's funky and sad at the same time! My favourite line "... the whole of boston drives the same black fucking truck..." Wooo! I love Amanda!
