Missed Me

I don't think I'm right, but I thought this song was about a little girl who threatens to claim an older man molested her as a means of coercing him into some kind of relationship. Creeped me out.

Poor Amanda. :\ The passion in the song is amazing.

the song is about innocence lost. it is about young, naive girl, been taking advantage by an older man. the girl believes that the reason the man kisses her and screws her is because he loves her. she is unaware that the man is just using her. her train of thought follows this: if you kiss me mister you must think im pretty if you think so mister you must want to fuck me if you fuck me mister it must mean you love me if you love me mister you would never leave me it's as simple as can be! when the man leaves the girl, she is in a state of disbelief. the song follows her progression from sadness to anger. she cannot understand why the man who was really using her has left. she thought he loved her like she loved him. unable to see the truth, she grows angry at the man. not because he has used her, but rather because he has left her. the song shows how powerful sex can be, especially when it is used upon someone without an understanding for the emotions that go with sex. the girl was naive, and had an innocense that the man has now taken. unable to cope with this she does not know what her emotions mean.
the line: it serves you right for kissing little girls but i will visit if you miss me shows that she might be older now and is bitter for what the man did to her. however, she is still not able to forget this man (he was her first time and all) and she still thinks that he might, no matter what, love her. that is perhaps the saddest part of the song

songs follows a cycle .. a very common cycle most people in realationships go through .

Personally I get this interesting mental image of a Tim Burton claymation style going on where this little girl is just ends up stalking this guy after giving her an innocent kiss. I can just see her innocently (or not so) showing up like The Raven from Poe's story behind the glass with a sweet smile while he sweats away on the other side.

It's almost like this little sweet "innocent" girl is baiting him as much as she can.

I think this songs is about a girl that is in dire need of love... or needing to feel loved, so she picks an older man, then uses the fact that they kissed to pull him farther and farther into this spiral of threats. "You don't do this, and I'll tell my sister, who will tell my mother, father, lawyer."

this song kind of reminds me of lolita for some reason

The first time I heard this song, I just kept listening to the lyrics and comparing them, line by line, to the story of Lolita. There are a lot of amazing parallells, particularly in the idea that Lolita manipulates the man who's seduced her ever since she was a child, and eventually betrays him.

But I doubt that's what this song is really about, I'm going with the music teacher thing.
