This song is old. It was a product of the band back before they changed their name and became famous.
Yes, "Woman" is not on the "Songs About Jane" CD. It's, I'm pretty sure (as Kaykos said), a song from when the band was called "Kara's Flowers". It's really awesome, though, and I recommend everyone download it. It's a much more subdued, but sexy, sound.
As for the meaning behind it, yeah- I assume there's some really hot chick he thinks is the epitome of womanhood...

I'm pretty sure they rerecorded it... I remember hearing it a while back and it sounds a bit different now.
Yeah they did write this song as Maroon 5. It's not on the Songs About Jane Album though. It's on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack.
this isn't an old song, it's newer than any on songs about jane. they wrote it specifically for the spiderman2 soundtrack.
Kimber you are entirely wrong. I have this song on my computer, and have had it there for 3 years. This song was written about 5 years ago as they were transitioning from Kara's Flowers to Maroon 5. I know all this because I met the bands manager when he was in Ann Arbor in 2000, and before they got big I was in spotty contact with him, and got some music. This is an old song.
