Red, White, And Blue Lyrics
We don't have no plastic L.A. friends
ain't on the edge of no popular trend
ain't never seen the inside of that magazine GQ
we don't care if your a lawyer or a Texan old man
or some watress busting ass at some liquor stand
if you got soul we hang out with people just like you
My hairs turning white
my necks always been red
my collars still blue
we've always been here
just trying to sing the truth to you
guess you could say we've always been Red White and Blue
Ride on back to sturges pay are own dues
smokin camels and drinking demestic brews
if you want to know where i've been just look at my hands
yeah i've driven by the white houase and spent some time in jail
mama cried but she still wouldn't pay my bail
i ain't been no angel but even God He understands
My hairs turning white
my necks always been red
my collars still blue
we've always been here
just trying to sing the truth to you
guess you could say
we've always been red white and blue
yeah that's right.....
My daddy worked hard and so have I
We paid our taxes and gave our lives to serve this great country
so what are they complaining about
we love our families
we love our kids
you know it's love that makes us all so rich
that's where were at
if they don't like it they can just...get the hell out!
My hairs turning white
my necks always been red
my collars still blue
we've always been here
just trying to sing the truth to you
guess you could say
we've always been red white and blue
Ohhhhh RED WHITE AND BLUE
YA KNOW YA KNOW YA KNOW
RED WHITE AND BLUE
YEAH
Ohhhhhhhh
RED WHITE AND BLUUUUUUUE.....

Keeebler7, that is probably the most anti-American thing you could say. Since our founding fathers started this country, it has been about one thing: Change. Laws have changed, dozens of amendments added to the constitution, the meanings of which have been contested for hundreds of years by the Supreme Court. If anything, trying to change things when something isn't quite "clicking" right is the only thing that could possibly be considered American. If we hadn't changed anything in the past 100 years, African Americans would still be segregated against and Women would still have little to no rights outside of the Kitchen. Even our forefathers knew that the words of the constitution would need to be changed and modified, and that it was just a guideline by which to form our country...so why can't you understand that. I have to say that this is a pretty unamerican song, mainly because of the "get the hell out" lyric, but also because of the "blue collar" reference. If you're all Blue Collar and you think you ARE what this country is, then why do you defend a government that is setting our country up to tear down the blue collar worker and send all blue collar jobs overseas in favor of an entirely white collar society? Wake up -- you're being played for a fool.
Great song saying how saome people think that they might be better then others, but really nobody's better than anybody else and we're all Americans.
this is a great song and i love the part where he says "if they dont like it, they can get the hell out" thats so true. Dont come over to our great country and try to change things, this is our country not yours.
I loved Skynyrd when Ronnie was alive. This song says they should give it up. All things must pass.Getting drunk and smoking Camels. Cool (with a C)
i once died my hair white and my necks nvr been red or my collar and i like frogs
Great song, very patriotic and Im not even from the USA!
its ok, sounds to country instead of like rock, but i like the fact that its about being an american, especially since im sitting in iraq right now! USMC!!!!
They should've made the lyric "I don't like you if you're Red, Black, or Queer, and if you don't like it then get the hell out of here!"
That would've made it truly patriotic, in the Keeebler7 sense of the term.
