Oklahoma Lyrics

Within a mechanical pose
And a heart pumping a need for control
Forced to fit inside a mold
Living to dehumanize is gonna take its toll
Take it in
And let it saturate
Under the skin
Until you can't even
Remember when
You first felt the sinking
Feeling that
Something's missing you
Traded for a gun
Did we inflate your sense of pride
And did it feed your lust for power
When you threw us to the ground
You took what's ours and sold it back
Another day another dollar for this town
Your uniform made a perfect burial suit

They experienced some really bad abuse of authority in Oklahoma while touring. Stuff was stole from their van and they were thrown in jail, I believe.

It may be related to the drug trafficly laws down a particular highway (police have the right to stop any vehicle from out of state, if given proper reason, which is usually faked anyway, and search the car entirely, often times it happens to tourists just passing through on vacation, and things such as luggage and money are confiscated under a loose interpretation of the law).

You can really detect the frustration in this song. I was listening to it for the first time while playing my drums and I got flabbergasted.

They were fined $6000!!!! For just being awesome

This song totally about what happened to them there. It's despicable that cops get away with things like that.
