Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
Making love to a woman... Her breathing, her skin, her hands... The beauty of a woman becoming a part of you. Something pure, something very felt from inside, like a first time. It really moves you. You have to hear this tune in order to appreciate what I'm trying to say...
Interesting the Eve I found doesnt have lyrics in it at all its just playing music and the version I have is me and my girlfriends song because it sounded peaceful like a kinda dance song and it didnt have lyrics very confusing ill have to look into it im just a little confused now x.x
Wow, man, you should write in sentences, ya' know... ;)
Anyway, the version I have doesn't have lyrics as well...
I'm considering editing the lyric and have it say only "instrumental".
Edited by YtseJam on January 16 2006, at 03:08PM

I was on the computer and i started to play this song and i just stopped, sat back, and listened to the song all the way through, not paying enough attention to the anything else. The song was beautiful. It made me think of swimming in the the stars.

What drew my attention to this song was first 30 seconds of the keyboard intro that sends me to nostalgic teritory but at the same time gives me hope, strenght and motivates me to think consciously each time I listen to this song. It amazes me that a couple of chords can mean a thousand words.
