Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.

Respect the structure

Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.

I don't think it's about Jesus tiring of war and death.... I always saw it as more of a denial in Jesus/God. I see it saying that Jesus is/was a mortal like everyone else. Obviously these might be the last thoughts of a dying soldier who can't understand why their Jesus or God hasn't saved/delivered for them..... That's my take.

I think Neil is talking about the soldier being high drugs when he refers to the soldiers eyes shining like the sun. When he says “Jesus you can’t deliver right away” I think he means that the drugs can take away the soldiers pain quickly but prayer to Jesus don’t seem to work as well. The soldier is in a dilemma between faith in God or taking drugs to relieve him from the anguish of war and life.

whoa that's kinda cool. It's like he's comparing jesus to a soldier. maybe It's like he's sayin that jesus is tired of people dying in war. Might be wrong but whatever.
