Hello Lyrics
Through a different kind of silence
I'm waiting, I'm wasting
Into the road of sadness
I'm walking without you
<b>Chorus</b>
Hello, hello, hello, hello
Is it gonna last?
Why dont you come and take me with you?
And so I know you had to go
I'm dreaming of the past
An echo of the years we passed through
Asleep in your arms I'm drifting
I'm falling in sorrow
Dead to the world you left me
In footsteps I follow
<b>Chorus</b> x2
I'm waiting, I'm wasting
Into the road of sadness
I'm walking without you
Hello, hello, hello, hello
Is it gonna last?
Why dont you come and take me with you?
And so I know you had to go
I'm dreaming of the past
An echo of the years we passed through
I'm falling in sorrow
Dead to the world you left me
In footsteps I follow

I firmly believe that this song is about love that has been lost, being in pain from losing it, but never truly letting go.
The opening verse shows that they used to have somebody by their side, but are now on their own.
In the chorus, there are signs of this person never truly accepting that they're now alone. (Why don't you come and take me with you? Dreaming of the past, etc.)
um...someone is sad...they want to be with someone that they like...they just can't stand being alone without that person...that's it.
the intro reminds me of Supertramp - Breakfast in America beatifull song :')
To me this is about the first months of the long road, when her loss is fresh and the crushing grief of her death is consuming you, as your shattered shell sits alone in a silent room, unmoving, the hours passing unnoticed. The prospect of facing the long years ahead, empty and alone, is terrifying. The hollow inside where her soul was torn away from you is a burning agony. You ache to follow her into the unknown, held to the world only by a sense of obligation to the family and friends who have already endured too much loss.
Romantic? No. This is the face of grief, and the cost mortals pay for love. May it be many, many years before your bill comes due.
I believe in verse 1, Steven is singing to Aviv and in verse 2, Aviv is singing to Steven. Of course, in the chorus, they're speaking to each other, though they're so far apart.
Such beautiful romance.
