Song for a Sleepwalker Lyrics
No more will I play along
And no more will tell myself how it's gonna be from now on
'Cos I've been stalling in between
And I've been dragging my feet
Making bets that this isn't happening
And I sleepwalk around two feet off the ground
While the real world is trying to reach me
And when the rain comes down I see it all now
Standing on the great divide
Of some collission between ordinary and imaginary life
And this could be your lucky day
'Cos if tomorrow ever comes
You'll be looking, looking the other way
And you sleepwalk around two feet off the ground
While the real world is trying to reach you
With stories that you already knew
It pulls you and pushes you
And you sleepwalk around two feet off the ground
While the real world is trying to reach you
When the rain comes down you'll find yourself now
Nowhere
And no more will tell myself how it's gonna be from now on
'Cos I've been stalling in between
And I've been dragging my feet
Making bets that this isn't happening
While the real world is trying to reach me
And when the rain comes down I see it all now
Of some collission between ordinary and imaginary life
And this could be your lucky day
'Cos if tomorrow ever comes
You'll be looking, looking the other way
While the real world is trying to reach you
With stories that you already knew
While the real world is trying to reach you
When the rain comes down you'll find yourself now
Nowhere

nah
nah what?
to me this song is about just existing and not living. You walk around not being aware of what is happening around you. The lines between reality and imagination are blurred.
Cool song. Similar to how I feel sometimes.. just there and doing whatever it is I have to, but not living as such.
The existing and not living point is definitely there, and I think Paul really emphasizes his last point, which is that when the time comes you'll realise what you've become and where you are: nowhere.
to me this song means a lot, it describes the everyday struggle I have with Depersonalization Disorder.
you have to feel this song to understand it. it's one of those songs in instantly related to.
