I don't know what he was thinking when he wrote this song but it speaks a lot to me about my own struggles with lust
"I never have to pretend I love you" That's pretty intense. That's what I want my relationship with my (future) wife to be like. I don't ever want to have to pretend. I just want it to be real. Don't get me wrong, I understand that there's lot's of work to a great relationship (you can't just give up), but it's something to aspire to.
