It's to Nic and Chris Cesters late dad
The brothers were worrying about their lives and were they were going with their music ("well i've been thinking about the future, but I'm too young to pretend'), then their dad died ("Gonna have to move on before we meet again"). In the 2nd verse they are thinking about life ("10.34: Flinders Street Station I'm lookin' down the tracks") and in the last verse they realise "Cause every once in a while You think about if your gonna get yourself together You should be happy just to be alive."
The brothers always sing it together at shows.
i agree, i think it sounds kinda like oasis for some reason... but at the same time it sounds like "wild horses" by the stones...
who do they sound like in this song?? this has been bugging me since i first heard it!
After living in Melbourne, Australia for 5 months, i love the line about flinders st. station. And it was bugging me when i first heard about, and i'm not sure if this is it, but it kinda reminds me of "only god knows why" by kid rock. just a little bit
this song is awesome. did you know that it is the drummer who actually sings it? I saw them in a concert and they have a great live performance
Cool song. I think it seems to basically be talking about how you need to stop obsessing about the past and look toward the future. The train station metaphor works really well for this too.
this is one of my favorite jet songs...sounds very classic rock, like "freebird" or something
love this song to pieces- so pretty. i dont know about everyone else but it kind of reminds me of oasis- especially the chorus. amazing song- rock out jet.
