it sounds to me this song is about someone he loves "you know i love you, and i can't stand it" is making them slide off track for what they are truley striving for, and then he loses both, the one he loves and his goals.. which leaves him with nothing and he needs "anything to keep me breathing" which leads to the part that says "lie to me, tell me something worth living for" and he just wants something to yearn for again, whether its a lie or not, he wishes to have something fairly important in life.

I always thought that this song was talking about a relationship in which one person has really strong feelings for the other, and the other is just using the other. Even though the person being used can see this, they don't want to lose the person that they really think they love...

I dunno...that is just what i think.

I'm really curious as to what this song is about. I always listen to it when I'm really angry, so for me it has this desperation for goodness attached to it.

The song to me is about loosing sight of your goals and dreams. Most likely lost a loved one and now he wants something, anything; "Anything to keep me breathing."

"Lie to me // Give me something worth living for" sort of happened to me, you just want someone to tell you what to do, just so that you can have a purpose.

seems as though someone is waiting for something to keep themself breathing, even if its a lie.

I think that perhaps it could be about wanting to be told that everything will be okay, even if it's not true.

I can relate to this song very much... to me it's about someone who has kinda lost his interest in life, because everything that was once meaningful to him has either gone or has lost its meaning.

Could be a loved person, but could also be a political, religious, or whatever belief that was once highly important to him and somehow constituted his reason to live.

But now this thing is not there for him, anymore, and he has lost his place, his joy, his reason to go on. And he needs something like that, because right now nothing seems to be of any importance whatsoever:

"it hurts me so much and im not quite sure i care anymore"

a very sad song, but beautiful...!
