I pretty much agree with the other people. He wants to see the world and everything through someone else eyes, because to them everything looks pretty and good, for example bad lines or jokes. He's feeling a bit depressed or and wants to be helped to see how beautiful things can be.

I agreey with Cautionary. That sounds great.
Maybe it's because I just got done reading a book about a couple on drugs, but something about this really does remind me of doing drugs. The line "Just take me home 'cause I'm a mess enough clean" makes me think of it, and the bit at the beginning of tying off their arms.
