Blue Eyed Suicide Lyrics

I built up the walls one break at a time.
We broke down the walls one brick at a time.
But infatuation cuts quick and you sharpen the knife.
A smile can only get you so far, blue eyed suicide.
I was willing to throw it all away but you couldn't decide.
A smile can only get you so far, blue eyed suicide.
These walls will be higher next time you try to break them and break in.
Your existence it burns my eyes.
Everytime I try and close them.
I thought that things were different this time around.
I thought I found someone who meant what they said.
Beyond four letters, beyond four letters.
I guess I thought that things were different this time around
I thought I found someone who meant what they said.
Beyond four letters, beyond four letters.
I guess I thought that things were different this time around

i really love this song, not so much for the lyrics, they are kind of generic compared tot he rest of A5A's other lyrics, but this is just such a good all around hardcore song, blending the singing with screaming, the thrashing with a melody and whatnot and the whole chorus is one of my favorites out of any song.

This is a great song, for some reason it brings back memories from the good old days playing hockey. I think he's trying to talk about how he worked so hard and slowly lost everything.

I especially love the screaming in this song, there's so much emotion to it, well except for the last half of the song where the screaming kinda gets generic. But the blend is great, I fell in love with A5A after listening to this song. I sorta have this alternative reading - there are some parts that I like and some parts that I don't.

I built up the walls one break at a time. We broke down the walls one brick at a time.

I'm not a fan of the whole scapegoat-seeking part of a breakup, it reminds me of the Berlin Wall and how it took such a long time for the wall to break down, but only because people were too stubborn to work together?

On a better note, I fucken love this part of the song:

I thought I found someone who meant what they said. Beyond four letters, beyond four letters.

It's both happy and sad at the same time - that the guy has had the opportunity to feel like that, to find someone authentic, yet at the same time a bit wrenching that he was wrong:

"I thought that things were different this time around."

Since I have a feeling that the word different is something negative?

I think he's just longing for what he lost but he's a but spiteful and bitter about it. He trusted someone and put a lot of faith in them then got burnt.

Well, obviously about the evil of relationships and exes =P. But a very catchy song, no matter how overdone the theme might be. One of my first myspace bands, ages and ages and ages ago.

I really love the lyrics to this song, but im too scared to listen to the song in case I dont like it. It will just ruin the feeling I get when I read those lyrics

beachbabe182, listen to the song, even if it's not up your alley, consider the lines he screams, and the raw emotion in each scream, and consider how those lines make you feel, and i bet if you were saying this to someone, or even to yourself when you were in the same emotional state as the song was set, you'll agree that the screams were nessesary to add that last bit of emotion to the song itself
