Sonny Curtis wrote the song but the original wasn't Bobby Fuller Four it was The Crickets back in 1959. Sorry to be so nerdy. Do carry on :-).

this is not a good song by Green Day, and I like almost all of their songs. I dont like it because...

A)it confuses those annoying little hot-topic-goers into thinking Green Day wrote the song

B)It gives Green Day a crappy name, thanks to....those little hot-topic goers.

C)It just isn't a good song in my mind

its a Clash song, why the hell is this even in their lyrics section. why do people insist on putting cover songs in here. nothing has changed except maybe the band's take on the song, the lyrics are still the same.
