Forever Delayed Lyrics
Screaming through the galaxy
Trapped in this eternity
Stranded helpless, endlessly
Alone, the lost vigilantes
Forever ever delayed
Forever ever delayed
From the city to the sea
Will you all come follow me
To a place where we are free
Not tied to guilt or tied to greed
Forever ever delayed
Forever ever delayed
Forever ever betrayed
Forever delayed...
Trapped in this eternity
Stranded helpless, endlessly
Alone, the lost vigilantes
Forever ever delayed
Will you all come follow me
To a place where we are free
Not tied to guilt or tied to greed
Forever ever delayed
Forever ever betrayed
Forever delayed...

Title taken from The last lines of 'roses in the hospital'
And originally meant to be on the greatest hits, but was relegated in favour of either There by the Grace of God or Door to the River. Not sure which though.
This song has overt political overtones, even though i disagree with the Manic's politics on many levels. This song is about the failed rise of a 'just' society or attitude to existence, one they subscribe to but is forever delayed in human history.
Another song about feeling constrained and pressurised and wanting to escape, while realising it's near impossible.
