Repress and restrain
Still the pressure and the pain
Wash the blood off your hands
This time she won't understand
Change in the air
And they'll hide everywhere
And no one knows who's in control
You're working so hard
And you're never in charge
Your death creates success
And you'll build and suppress
Change in the air
And they'll hide everywhere
And no one knows who's in control
Change in the air
And they'll hide everywhere
And no one knows who's in control
Still the pressure and the pain
Wash the blood off your hands
This time she won't understand
Change in the air
And they'll hide everywhere
And no one knows who's in control
You're working so hard
And you're never in charge
Your death creates success
And you'll build and suppress
Change in the air
And they'll hide everywhere
And no one knows who's in control
Change in the air
And they'll hide everywhere
And no one knows who's in control

I'm sure this is far off, but I think songs are up to interpretation, so yes. When I heard this song, I immediately thought of a budding serial killer. First, he's trying to repress the aggression that he feels, but when he finally snaps, he knows that she (whoever "she" is) won't understand his killing. Perhaps he has been aggressive before and she is forgiving, but she wouldn't be able to forgive this one step. The "they'll hide everywhere" made me think of hiding a body. Nobody will know that it is HIM in control, because obviously he won't let himself be seen. The middle bit, about the "You're working so hard/and you're never in charge," reminds me of the psychology of a killer, where many of them felt slighted in their life somehow, and like they had no control, so they went back and through killing, found their ability to control and succeed. Probably off the mark, but it's what this song reminded me of.
