one of my favorite songs ever written. best why? song period.
Obviously, about an overbearing and/or dismissive father. Great song. Only problem is it's way too short.

pretty self explanatory. besides not always following traditional American roles, I think it's saying people are much more important than their country (such as fighting it a war for your country.)
