does anyone know who the 3rd verse is about? I don't know too much about Bubba Sparxxx, I just like this song.
This song, and his whole album, kicks bum. What an artist.
It's seriously a pretty decent album, he deserves props for this.
This is a great fuckin album. Bubba should get alot morerespect for his work. This is a really goood song, he basically was explaining what happened in between his 1st album and deliverance. I like how he raps about stuff people can listen to and relate to since its personal stuff. Most of the time mainstream hip hop is fuckin pop, or party shit or stupid shit. Anyways if you dont have the album you should get it. Peace.....................WESTSIDE
I think Bubba gets held down a little bit by mainstream because of Eminem's enormous popularity. That's not a knock on Em, I love his stuff too. But I think the general public is only ready to accept one "white rapper" and Em has that crown right now.
Plus, Bubba has alot of country kick to his beats with the fiddles and such, which aren't widely respected by the hip-hop community or mainstream radio.
I admit this was a hell of a follow-up to Dark Days, Bright Nights. I read that Bubba originally didn't even want to do this album because he didn't think he could top DDBN and if he couldn't, he wouldn't make the album.
I think he either met DDBN or topped it. Agreed that he deserves some more mainstream media play, especially up in the north (MN) where I live.
This song remembers me to the summer 2004. I often listened to this song when i was driving with the car. It was always a beautiful weather. Party time !
I love this song. It is definately for people with good strong rural routes. Something bigcity folk can only hope to understand.
Few things to say, Hofi obviously partied too much, second, this album is suprisingly good, the lyrics are legit and representing the true hip hop that is missing in todays mainstream world (which honestly I don't mind, but it's nice when people show up in the mainstream then disappear again like Common, or J5, Atmosphere). To all the haters of this album all I can say is just because it is mainstream or was doesn't mean it has lost its true self. To all the others who don't know- Bubba Sparxxx is more hip-hop than 50 cent or G Unit could ever be so wake your dumbass up and look inbetween the lines.
This song is amazing. Bubba has a few others on this CD that should be well known. There is one song that wasn't even put up for lyrics that is amazing. Nowhere, the other song i'm talking about, you should listen to it, i feel its one of his best songs if not the best song he has.
