Wednesday The Third Lyrics
Now as I lay by your side
would you tell me why everything has to be lies
leaving everyone wondering when we'll all wind up dead
to all we are within
wednesday the third was the night that you rambled
alone in the fridgid white light like a leopard
about to dig in to trembling skin
with wind whipping your shins
Oh
haven't you heard the news
nobody came too soon
surprise our eyes are opening up to you
Now as I lean to the side
I can see all the thoughts that you're trying to hide
I've arranged for a ferry to France
where you should relax, don't worry about the pets
they'll be safe at our address
Oh
haven't you heard the news
nobody came too soon
surprise our eyes are opening up to you
nobody came too soon
surprise our eyes are opening up to you
you'll always be in our eyes opening up to you
you've left everyone wondering when we'll all end up dead
to all we are within
now as daisies dry off
and the wind scurries scarlet leaves like they were dust
we can see somewhere off to the east
a gaggle of geese are singing your goodbye
hear the sweetest lullaby
listen up to hear the sky will soon clear
and you'll be the last one to wish for rain
would you tell me why everything has to be lies
leaving everyone wondering when we'll all wind up dead
to all we are within

hasnt hit puberty? for starters you must have not hit puberty either due to the fact that you cannot spell. isnt it obvious that he is singing this way because they are going for the sound to suit the songs music and feel? its under-rated to say the least but, this is good i guess because its a hidden wonder.
I love it. It's also my favorite song on Reverie. I don't know how anyone can say anything negative about this song. Emorawkprincez: stick it! You don't know crap.
this song is by far my favorite on In Reverie, it's so amazing
hate to say it, but this song is about bush. elections are held on tuesday the second. listen to the song with this in mind, definitely puts a spin on it.
a great tune nonetheless.
*the 2000/2004 elections were held on tuesday the second.
if i had one question to ask chris it would be the meaning of this song id love to know. for me it doesnt seem to be about a certain thing or about somthing rather a feeling and other times i think the complete opposite and think it to be about one thing. to me i think its about a lot of things and its very dynamic in that way. to me this song is about just about being with somone who somthing has happend to to make them crazy and then he wants her and him to get away hence ferry to france and thats about it for me this song creates a hopefull yet sad but good feeling all in one great tune:) its my fav STD on in reverie and one of my favs in general STD
does anyone know why the song is really called wednesday the third. is the person who said its about bush and the election accurate?
wednesday the third was the night that you rambled alone in the fridgid white light like a leopard
that sounds like bush especially the first of the two chosen lines, he rambled because we was proud to have become president? maybe conley thinks this
Now as I lay by your side would you tell me why everything has to be lies leaving everyone wondering when we'll all wind up dead
Now as I lay by your side would you tell me why everything has to be lies leaving everyone wondering when we'll all wind up dead
I think that could be chris talking to his girlfriend at the time about bush.
I still love this song like the first time I've listened to it. A shame this is one of the only nice things (along with the entire in reverie album) saves the day have ever made. I hope someday saves the day makes music like they've have made on in reverie (and like the in reverie b-sides). lovely stuff, guys. 5 years and I still enjoy in reverie stuff.
I really like the lyrics in this song but yet again he sounds like a kid that hasn't hit puberity yet.
