Rise Lyrics
Lets call it off
ive had enough of the games
if you could see into me
all my veins are tangled up
tied in knots
My heart beats slowly now,
it's emptying into the streets
Swirling straight away down the drains back to sea
Oh when is the time
where you aren’t in my mind
setting flames ravaging all my dreams
when can i finally wake
To the sunlight shining on my cheeks
and the wind sweeping me away
far away from every memory
with you face in the frame
that'll be the day
When they sky starts burning,
the earth ain’t moving.
We all become sane
and we rise in the morning
to kiss the scorching sun before it falls.
ohhh [3x]

where did you find/hear this song, iv'e never heard of it
is it not on "in reverie" ? ...i don't really have anyhting to say about it because it seems pretty self explanitory to me
it is on In Reverie.. its number 4
I think it is a brilliant song. Cheerful and it always puts a smile on my face. It is on In Reverie which is definitely their best work so far.
woa ive never heard anoyone say in reverie was thier best cd, through being cool was pretty nice, but stay what you are, is just a masterpiece
In my opinion, In Reverie IS their best CD so far in that it showcases an incredible amount of musical sensitivity and technique. Anybody can write a four chord electric love song and win the hearts of emo kids all over the country; it takes the mind of a true musician to come up with the beauty that makes up In Reverie. Just accept it for the unique work of art that it is instead of hating them for maturing.
-Harwell
I totally agree with you Harwell, it's good to hear someone clever.
harwell, you are completely right...this album really is sadly overlooked by most of their core fans...but it is a work of genius.
btw, id rank them:
stay what you are sound the alarm in reverie through being cool can't slow down
I'm actually excited to hear people say positive things about In Reverie. Seems like a neglected step child. It's really not that bad. Every StD album takes some getting used to. And you can't call somebody stupid because he likes an album you don't. Just remember that nobody liked Pinkerton, either. People get too caught up with an album and it becomes almost impossible to follow it up with something that pleases both the fans and the band. Might I add I love the weird rhythm in the verses of this one.
