Man did they rip off the bassline from Primus' "Duchess and the Proverbial Mindspread" and made a guitar riff out of it. I liked the song, but just wanted to point it out to you Incubus fans. Hell Incubus used to similiar to Primus back in the day.

Maybe it's a matter of perception, but I see paying homage to Primus and/or Mr. Bungle. These are a huge inspiration to Incubus, aren't they?
As far as the alleged stab at The Roots go: Sorry dude, but I don't buy it.. :)
I agree that this is an homage (maybe a ripoff) of Primus and their sound. I have only heard a couple Incubus tracks but I know my Primus. The beginning of this song sounds too much like "The Duchess and the Proverbial Mindspread" for comfort. But whatever, I like "Zee Deveel" anyway.
