Remenissions Lyrics
With this ink in our skin we've sealed our fate,
and the axe comes early
(only naturally) So what does that matter?
There's a bed of skeletons waiting for me,
on the other side
They're waiting for my next move (next fatal breath)
Human lives to me seem so unreal, can't see through the fog
(nothing past a grey wall) see past the stereotype
Belief, structure built up in you.
I'll tear you down and the one who created you
If they didn't have One how would they act?
If we didn't have hope how would we behave?
Would they still feel remorse
if they slaughtered innocent beings?
Or is hope the only thing that keeps you sane?
A good friend once told me you are memory
without them we equal nothing
All I can see is the place I wanna be
Suddenly my life was so free
Leaves at my feet, blown to the ground
their echoes are reaching my ears
Nights coming fast, suns going down
But keep away from me... keep away from me
(it's hard, to keep me in this place, keep away from me)
We may have created the beginning, mentally
We may have created the beginning, physically
To the end of our human existence...
I see through you
The fear that's in your eyes
A good friend once told me we are our memory
Without them we equal nothing
All I can see is the place I wanna be
Timeless my life was so free
Leaves at my feet, blown to the ground
their echoes are reaching my ears
Nights coming fast, suns going down - confused
I don't know the answers but neither do you
and the axe comes early

i'm starting to like this band a lot...to the point of bumming the album.
This song is about how much your past and memory affect your present.
the first part of the song is about how people are blind to the reality the THERE IS NO GOD!! people are mindless lemmings merely awating the "afterlife" But what would happen if suddenly no one had any belief or hope. Momories are the only thing that keeps us alive. rembering all our mistakes and the mistakes of generations before us.
in the first chorus he has a revelation and realizes that there is no God. and feels the "sun is going down" on his life because everthing he believed was a lie.
BUT,...
in the second chorus he has another revelation and decides heaven is real. see's the leaves wonders who created them(if anyone) and has thoughly confused himself by contridicting what his head tells him and what is heart says.
eirgo, "confused. I don't know the answers but neither do you" he's saying that no one can know the truth.
it means that whether or not there is a god. the belief in him is what keeps humanity from slipping into chaos

good call
dont really need to say nething more
ok...those of you who don't believe in an afterlife, go kill yourself bc there is no point to life at all. i like this song allot, buuut the idea sure as hell isn't new...anyone read 1984 by Orwell? as for the existence of God... oldest debate ever. i give AX7 props for the poetic nature of the song, and for the musicianship. As for the idea - everyone wonders whether there is a God or not, nothing special.
mo meny summed this song up for those of you who wanna know the meaning scroll up he cleaned it up big tyme...good job bro.....long live a7x!!!!
yea, it does speak about his beliefs. and how in one moment he thinks God is there.. but then he finds somethin that gives him proof of God's existance.
Mostly its a "confusion" song.
I love the musical part of the song. and the lyrics do have a meaning, but i believe in God and i know he's there.
well, obviously God is mentioned, as the One, but does this mean it's about his believing? I don't think so. I think he realises that it's all useless, and that all we are is our memories, rather than something we might become in the next life, or something we are destined to be.
read the lyrics and they will prove you wrong

on another note perhaps it is two completely different people arguing with each other (because of the voice changes and sudden shift of views)

i don't know if i'm stating the obvious, but theres no such word as remenission. I think they are creating a new word that turns the verb "reminisce" into a noun. and thats pretty clever, I guess. or stupid. as nigel tufnel once said "it's a fine line between clever and stupid."
