I'm wondering if this song is about being in love with someone, but it's a childish or unrealistic love. She doesn't want to grow up; growing up would mean discarding such feelings, and it's easier and more enchanting to emotionally stay where she is; "this place is so lovely / it kind of makes me very happy". "Make believe is much too fun", i.e. imagining that the relationship could happen is better than owning up to the fact that it probably can't.
This song is just too beautiful. It's like a dreamy, nostalgic trip into sunlight and butterflies.

i love this song sooo much... it about how everything was so nice when you were a kid, then you grow up a little and realize those days are just memories... at least, part of it is
i love this song because it sorta sounds like a lulabye or something. But i think it's like a child's dream of playing all the time and never wanting to grow up and take up responsibilities and just be a child always and play make-believe all day long.
oh this makes me think of fairy tale romances like Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty.
