Blanket Hog Lyrics
do you believe it's day?
roll us into a ball
all of your darkest smiles
tempered by your sleeping eyes
show me all your scars
hold me by my arms
burrow into a spot
my little blanket hog
now that a year has gone
see how the blanket's worn
all to myself
all to myself
do you believe it's day?
roll us into a ball
all of your darkest smiles
tempered by your sleeping eyes
show me all your scars
hold me by my arms
burrow into a spot
my little blanket hog
now that a year has gone
see how the blanket's worn
all to myself
all to myself
do you believe it's day?

The song is about this guy who used to sleep witht his girl, and that he hated not having the blankets "hogged" from him, then he realizes once it was over, what was bad at the time, was something that he loved. Kinda sad.
it's all about finding the beauty in one's lover.
It's also about the most ridiculously brilliantly epic bit of music that JRod has ever produced. The moment when the guitar drops out leaving just the string section is just beautiful.
agreed, gmm
He loves her and not in spite of, but because of her imperfections. And as he looks back he thinks about how real she was.
I don't have anything to add, but these lines are beautiful:
all of your darkest smiles tempered by your sleeping eyes
This is the only Long Winters song I don't listen to.
