It's funny actually. I used to always listen to this when my girlfriend and I would wake up in the morning...and I told her I thought he was talking about waking up and wanting his girl so bad...the first thing he sees when he wakes.

But then I thought...maybe he's looking at a heroin syringe or something on the night stand and that's the first thing he sees and what he wants soooo bad.

He is so badly infatuated/in love with a woman that all he can think about is being with her. But it is not someone he has a realistic shot at. I conclude this from: Baby, we´ll find a way. We´ll go out, Out for a day. He does not believe that even if this woman gives him a shot by dating him will actually love him in return or even have sex with him due to circumstances or just her disposition towards him, but still he can´t help himself, he still wants her and needs her. I can relate, and it really hurts.
