The Kill Lyrics

Moved in a hired car and I find no way to run
Hurts every moment longer - had no time for fun
Just something that I knew I had to do
But through it all I kept my eyes on you

I had an impulse to clear it all away
I used the tactics - make everybody pay
Just something that I knew I had to do
But through it all I kept my eyes on you

Oh, I keep it all clean - I've paid the graces there
No kings of misuse - no sellers of flesh
Just something that I knew I had to do
But through it all I kept my eyes on you
Yeah through it all I kept my eyes on you
But through it all I kept my eyes on you

It sounds kind of... joyful, doesn't it?

The Warsaw version is completely different if anyone wonders.

Life can be skewed - good things are nice Counting on you - really no threats The waiting is through - deciphering the scars Just who fooled who - sit still in their cars It's another, 'nother, 'nother, 'nother kill --

I can smell through you - your talking's a lie They turn on to you, before they say "die" Wrapped in your trunk - to reach out the safe case So I can detect - the longer it's taking It's another, 'nother, 'nother, 'nother kill --

Dangerous cues - set by distraction Deprived of all use, nor in satisfaction Total destruction - the worst ever met Kept in apartment - sublimely for you

Who's got the front stage, to keep you in rocks? Who's got the vision, that puts in the locks? Loss of all resource - forced into your head Just that it was - whacked into the air It's another, 'nother, 'nother, 'nother kill

See?

Ah. I see. Thats why I got completely different lyrics to the kill that I was looking for. This song is great, that's all I have to say.

Makes me think about suicide. It's not that difficult to make me think about it, but anyway... ;-)

"Moved in a hired car and I find no way to run" - I've reached a dead end. "Hurts every moment longer - had no time for fun" - Obvious. Every moment's a torment, nothing brings me joy. "Just something that I knew I had to do" - Suicide. "clear it all away" - The same. "I used the tactics - make everybody pay" - I thought: They'd hurt me. I'll put me life to an end, to make them see what they've done, to make them suffer (feel guilty, miss me).

The last verse repeated throughout the song is IMO adressed to a loved one. "But through it all I kept my eyes on you" - 'I was about to do it, but then I thought about you'.

"Oh, I keep it all clean - I've paid the graces there No kings of misuse - no sellers of flesh" Don't know. Anyone?

Sounds optimistic - Very orignial as for JD :]

"Just something that I knew I had to do But through it all I kept my eyes on you Yeah through it all I kept my eyes on you But through it all I kept my eyes on you: I think hes talking directly to his wife in this one. Hes saying even though I had an affair with this other girl I have always loved you. (see the movie Control)
