This was the song we chose for our first dance at our wedding reception. We had little money (each making $18,000 yearly) but we were so much in love. The marriage lasted two decades; the man is still very special to me; and this song will always take me back to the afternoon that we danced to it in the large room of his parents mansion. (Then we did the Hokey Pokey to my chagrin:)

1971, one of my first 45's when I was a kid. Have always loved it, but never could understand the last word/words in the line "Seems as though, a month ago, I was Beta-Chi." Now I see it here, but have looked for the meaning of Beta-Chi, and it does not make sense. Stands for a fraternity or brotherhood? If anyone knows how that makes sense, please post. thanks
This song reminds me of my parents. Whenever the song is played and I start to hear the chorus, it brings tears to my eyes and I remember my parents who've loved me I loved back.

I first heard this song on a cd that was given out at a wedding reception.
