Let's Spend the Night Together (The Rolling Stones cover) Lyrics
Well, don't you worry
'Bout what's been on my mind
I'm in no hurry
I can take my time
I'm going red and my tongue's getting tired
I'm off my head and my mouth's getting dry
I'm high
Let's spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Let's spend the night together now
I feel so strong
That I can't disguise, oh my
But I just can't apologise, no
Don't hang me up but don't let me down
We could have fun just a-fooling around and around
Let's spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Let's spend the night together now
You know I'm smiling baby
You need some guiding baby
I'm just deciding baby
Let's spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Let's spend the night together now
This doesn't happen to me every day
No excuses I've got anyway
I'll satisfy your every need
And now I know you'll satisfy me
Let's spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Let's spend the night together now
They said we were too young
Our kind of love was no fun
But our love comes from above
Do it, let's make love!
Let's spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Let's spend the night together now
'Bout what's been on my mind
I'm in no hurry
I can take my time
I'm going red and my tongue's getting tired
I'm off my head and my mouth's getting dry
I'm high
Now I need you more than ever
Let's spend the night together now
That I can't disguise, oh my
But I just can't apologise, no
Don't hang me up but don't let me down

This song kicks ASS! It just revs up the Stones song and turns it into something new and totally rocking. It's great to dance too.
This song has a huge smile on its face
Let's spend the night together.. Now I need you more than ever. Let's spend the night together now...!
what i love about this song is that Bowie took a relatively sweet(if you can even call a stone's song "sweet")love song and just covered it with so much aggression and force, the disharmonious piano and Bowie's strong voice almost makes it sound violent, though i think that was intentional given its on the same album as "Cracked Actor".But yeah, this is one of the rare times where a cover actually is way better than the original(no offense to the stone's though,)the
[Edit: i spelt something wrong]
in the live version on ziggy stardust and the spiders from mars: the motion picutre soundtrack, right before this song comes on he says "this is for mick". you have to wait untill the end of the width of a circle (the song right before let's spend the night together) to hear it but its pretty interesting.
i dont know if he ment mick ronson or mick jagger?
He introduces Mick Ronson and says "this is for Mick"... it's obvious he's referring to Mick Ronson. Everyone on these Bowie songs is so homophobic, and stupid. Bowie's material often includes "man love" references or suggestion, but the songs are deeper describing life experiences unfamiliar to most people - sort of like reading a book, which apparently no one on here does either.

@right2interpret Huh! I always thought he meant jagger as well, i'll have to watch it again.
