best pepper song ever. you can feel it. his girl is cheating on him and he can't believe it. he loves her to death and doesn't know why she's doing it. she's the last girl he wanted to be with, and now he's got nothing.

I don't get that at all. To me it is about a guy who never gets the girl. He really likes certain girls, but a relationship never manifests, or she's not into him. ("only thing I've ever loved was...does she know my name, does it mean a thing?") and if something doesn't change then he will never get the girl (if my luck don't change I'll probably be the last one standing")
