First off, the chorus lyrics are "but i would break backsides for you" not "that i would break back nights for you"

I really think it's just about being in a relationship with the wrong person.

We all know Brian is a really intelligent person, and it seems like the person (remembering that it could be a girl or a guy) he is singing to isn't on the same level.

Alternatively it could be him singing to himself, saying 'wake up, this will never work'

I think this is about trying to smooth over the problems, but all the problems coming out anyway.

I think this is really about the narrator realizing that he's somewhat infatuated with the person, but that it can't work out.

I think "walk away" is repeated so much because it;s really just him realizing he needs to walk away from a relationship that won't work out.

its like waking up after getting really drunk/high, and realising you've done something really stupid. maybe im oversimplifying it.

I could be wrong but I remember reading somewhere that Brian dated some chick who was an actress..."You never were an actor." So that could have something to do with it. It could be more of a personal song to him. But, I could be wrong about this.

i think the second sight is something like either his conciouscience/ rational thinking /re thinking something along those lines anyway! :)

I think it's about Brian and this girl getting really wasted or high or perhaps both and they go to sleep together. He wakes up with no regrets as it was just a one night stand but for some reasons he wants more and maybe has feelings for her. He catches on that she is acting weird and knows that she regrets it horribly and wishes it had never happened. Telling her she is a horrible liar and actor he just says go basically and forget it ever happened cause your just making a mess of it.

I think it is about Brian and a girl getting together for a one night stand and doing crazy shit, and the next morning he wakes up beside her and is totally fine with it.

However, I think the song hints that this girl wants more off him than he can offer, so the insults he throws at her (you never were an actress) are to make it easier for her to hate him, and in turn break away the emotions she feels for him

I don't know, but this is one of the best songs off SWG, it serves as a perfect dancing song as well :]

I think this song is about a one night-stand, but the girl wants more. Brian knows it won't work, his "Second Sight" is him being able to take another look and see what will really happen instead of what he'd like to believe.

"Walk away to save your face, you never were a genius" - It's better for your reputation "Face" if you go.

Again the theory she could be the actress Brian dated "You never were an actor", which all leads back to the reputation idea.

Ah, the joys of sleeping with someone and neither of you really wanting a relationship...
